Jimmy Connor (footballer born 1909) : ウィキペディア英語版
Jimmy Connor (footballer, born 1909)
James "Jimmy" Connor (born 1 June 1909, died 8 May 1980) was a Scottish footballer who played for Sunderland and the Scotland national football team as an outside left. He was born in Renfrew, Scotland.
James "Jimmy" Connor was one of most popular players ever in red and white. He was an outside-left who loved to move inside the full-back and hit a shot with his fierce left foot. In 1936 when Sunderland won Division 1 (now the Premiership) Connor had his greatest moment for Sunderland when he scored the winner in a 5-4 win against Champions Arsenal at Roker. Bob Paisley, the famous Liverpool Manager voted Jimmy Connor, the best player he had ever seen as a child in his autobiography.
